Desire | 欲望


A great many suffer from it. Some fought and died because of it. History speaks of men so full of it, yet no one talks about it, because they all want it.

Cities are fueled by it because hearts are filled with it. Fools rush in, where one wields it. The fallen lick their wounds, but lest they forget, before the day is long, they are right back at it.

Many learned men decide, better the world they try. But nothing a wise man does, so no one sees him in the light. So the learned man, in the darkness he struts; the sage he is not, yet others follow his prod, leading only to nought.

Great pretender karma is, where death denies and birth defies. The wheel keeps on turning, till wisdom defines him, and it loses. A sage unveils, it precipitates in him no more.
